Due Diligence Review Checklist for HOA Construction Defects During the first thirty to sixty days from the date of hiring us, Michael T. Chulak & Associates will do the following (at no cost to the association):
• Survey all
association members in order to identify all defects and complaints • Arrange to have a licensed general contractor conduct a preliminary
inspection • Arrange to have a licensed general contractor conduct a preliminary
inspection • Obtain all recorded notices of completion; • Complete a thorough review of the association's governing documents and • Develop a preliminary budget for the association; and • Meet with the Board of Directors upon completion of our evaluation to Associations should know their legal rights and not be misled or intimidated when attempting to seek redress for construction defects.
